Mary Hoffman, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Mary K. Hoffman M.D., F. A.C.S., is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Mary grew up near Annapolis, Maryland. She attended college at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She graduated “with distinction” in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry and biology. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine and graduated Cum Laude in 1990. She became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, an honorary medical society. After an internship at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, she returned to the University of North Carolina for a residency in ophthalmology.

In early 1995 she moved to Chicago and joined the practice with Dr. Bruce Golden and Dr. Carrie Golden-Brenner.

Dr. Hoffman practices comprehensive ophthalmology. She sees patients of all ages, and is especially interested in glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, cataract surgery. “I enjoy the relationships I develop with my patients. It is very rewarding to be able to help them and ease fears about their eyes.” Her aesthetic interests include skin rejuvenation, hair removal and microdermabrasion.

Dr. Mary is married with two little boys. When not practicing ophthalmology, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, travel, exercising and crafts.
