Overview

We provide hair removal with the most advanced system. This system combines intense pulsed light and radio frequency to safely remove all hair colors and types on most areas of the skin and is called ELOS. The ELOS system kills or disables the hair follicle, but leaves the surrounding skin unharmed. Hair removal in our hands is, easy, convenient, with minimal of pain and side effects.

The ELOS system light pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to vaporize the pigment, disabling numereous follicles at a time to eliminate or significantly impede the hair's regrowth. The radiofrequency pulses after the warming occurs with the light, further damaging the hair follicle. By using both light and radiofrequency, the energy level of each can be lower leading to less side effects and more comfortable procedures.

To further minimize side effects, the ELOS system has a special contact cooling hand piece, which is perfect for all skin types. It protects and cools the upper layer of the skin before, during and after each pulse while directing the light and radiofrequency energy to the hair root. This combination of allows safe and effective treatment of all skin colors.

ELOS works by disabling hair follicles that are actively producing hair at the time of treatment. At any time, some hair follicles are dormant. The laser cannot treat hair follicles that are dormant. Since the follicles are producing hair at different times, several treatments will be necessary.

The area to be treated should be shaved one day prior to treatment. You should not wax, or pluck for four to six weeks prior to treatment. In addition, patients should avoid sun exposure to the treated area for six weeks before and at least two weeks following treatments. A topical numbing cream can be used to decrease any mild discomfort from the treatments.
